  • Double-sided tape or glue

Instructions

  1. The first step in putting together your DIY pop-up card is to print out two pages of card stock. Once you have your printed patterns, carefully cut out each piece separately. Then, using glue, attach these pieces to a thick piece of card stock. Make sure to spread the glue evenly to ensure a secure attachment.
  2. Print both sheets of the Christmas Gingerbread pop-up card template on thick cardstock for the best results. This sturdy material will give your pop-up card the durability to stand up and impress your recipients.
  3. Let's start the assembly process by folding the inner card sheet down the middle along that horizontal dotted line.
  4. Along the dotted lines, carefully cut slits. These slits are where the pop-up elements will come through, so make sure they're just the right size—not too big, not too small.
  5. Now it's time to bring those festive Gingerbread cookies, Christmas tree, and ornament to life! Grab your scissors and carefully cut out each of these delightful elements. Take your time to follow along the edges, keeping them as clean and precise as possible.
  6. Take the cutout gingerbread cookies, Christmas trees, and ornaments and place them in the spots marked with the glue icon on your card. Carefully apply a small amount of glue to the back of each element, then press it firmly into place.
  7. Like before, fold the outer card sheet in half along the horizontal dotted line. This fold will create the card's outer cover, providing a cozy home for your festive pop-up scene.
  8. Take the outer card sheet and carefully apply glue to the backside, covering it evenly. Then, align the outer card sheet with the back of the inner card sheet, ensuring that the printed sides are facing outwards. Press down firmly to secure the two sheets together, creating a sturdy and polished finish for your card.
