How to Make this Space Paper Craft Activity:
The provided template includes patterns for the earth, moon, rocket, meteor, and satellite. Select colored craft papers for the paper items and trace the template patterns using a pencil.
Cut out the traced patterns neatly.
Glue the green parts on the blue earth base.
Sharpies are used to trace outlines of the earth pattern of the papercraft.
Attach the tail cutouts of the meteor pattern. Use Sharpies to add texture to the meteor base cutout.
Attach the meteor base to the tail pattern (wide end).
Take the rocket cutouts, attach the fire and window cutouts, and attach the nose cone cutouts to the top cone part of the rocket base cutouts.
Attach the window pattern to the rocket base and attach the fire pattern to the nozzle cutout.
Attach the fins and nozzle to the rocket base to complete the craft.
Take the satellite cutouts. Attach the solar panels to the strip cutout. Attach the base cutouts and the antenna cutouts.
Attach the solar panel pattern to the backside of the base pattern. Attach the short strip to the straight side of the antenna cutout.
Attach the antenna pattern to the base to complete the satellite pattern.
Use Sharpies to add textures to the moon cutout.
Trace and cut out a round shape from cardstock paper for the space base. Using acrylic paint, you can add textures to the base. Prepare three strips (hands to go from the center of the base and reach the open edge).
Hold all three strips together at any end and punch holes. Insert a Brad pin through the holes to join them.
Insert the brad pin’s open end through the base’s center.
To complete the craft, attach the moon, rocket, satellite, or meteor patterns to the open ends of the hands.
