For a easy patriotic treat that makes a beautiful presentation, these red, white, and blue 4th of July chocolate dipped strawberries would fit the bill. They are super easy to make and only take about 15-20 minutes.. If you prefer milk chocolate or dark chocolate, you could use those as a substitute in place of the white chocolate. Any flavor of chocolate work, and the patriotic sprinkles add a beautiful colorful addition to any dessert table.

Ingredients needed for 4th of July Chocolate Dipped Strawberries:

1 pound strawberries, washed and dried

2 cups white chocolate chips or vanilla almond bark

Patriotic sprinkles

Blue sprinkling sugar

Melt white chocolate according to package directions or in the microwave stirring every 15 seconds to avoid scorching the chocolate.

Dip strawberries into chocolate and then place on waxed paper.

Immediately add sprinkles by dropping over the top of the wet chocolate.

Allow chocolate to set completely. 

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Melt the white chocolate according to package directions or in the microwave stirring every 15 seconds to avoid scorching the chocolate.

I have found that the best brand of melting chocolate is the Ghirardelli Chocolate Melting Wafers. You can buy either the white chocolate or the milk chocolate., These strawberries can be made a head of time for a party and can last two to three days in the refridgerator. To avoid sweating or leaking, it's best to make chocolate covered strawberries the same day you plan to serve them. But you can keep the dipped strawberries at room temperature for as long as ten hours, without having an issue.. The strawberries will keep longer if you keep them in a cool, dry place,
