3. Bar Harbor, Maine

This gorgeous seashore community, located next to Acadia National Park, stole my heart on my first visit. Driving through Maine was a fun experience as we saw several lighthouses along the way. One of the highlights of visiting Bar Harbor was the Lobster boat tour at http://lululobsterboat.com. I highly recommend this tour as we visited Egg Rock Lighthouse and saw the seals in their natural habitat.. We also observed and learned from the captain and crew about Lobster fishing as they caught several lobsters on our tour.

A vast and magnificent sight that is a “must-see” at least once in your life, the Grand Canyon makes for a memorable vacation for children and adults. There are many ways to see the Grand Canyon, such as hiking, helicopter tours, rafting, mule rides, guided tours, or simply exploring in your vehicle. 5. Washington, DC

This city is full of history and museums and represents our beautiful country so well. As an American, I take pride in the accomplishments of our country that are represented in Washington, D.C., through the memorials and statues that showcase our great history. This is the perfect family road trip for educational history or a fun vacation.

6. Disneyland

Do you want to visit the happiest place on earth? This California road trip was a highlight in our family’s memories, and I’m sure it will be great for you, too. We spent five days in the Disneyland parks and didn’t want to leave. Disney’s California Adventure Parks and Disneyland are filled with classic and new rides that will excite every family member. Disneyland is a fun family trip and one of my family’s top spots for family travel in the USA.

7. Oahu, Hawaii

The most beautiful islands to visit are the Hawaiian islands. The people of Hawaii are friendly, and the Polynesian culture is intriguing to experience. We stayed at the Grand Wailea in Wailea, Maui, when we visited Maui. We enjoyed the hotel; the pool area is fun for kids and adults.

8. Destin, Florida

Destin, Florida, is my home away from home and is ranked by several sites as one of the most beautiful beaches in the US. Destin offers its visitors and residents sugar, white sandy beaches, and emerald green waters. In addition, many family attractions, relaxation, fresh seafood restaurants, and shopping are available in Destin. Once you vacation in Destin, you will dream of returning every year!

9. Niagara Falls

The best time to visit Niagara Falls is in the summer, from June to August. However, we visited Niagara Falls in October and had fabulous weather. The Maid of the Mist boat tour was the highlight of the trip as the boat took us up close to the falls and provided an incredible boat ride to experience the falls. I also highly recommend seeing the falls at night. There is a light show that is very enjoyable as the sun sets on the falls.

10. Hershey, PA

When you think of “Hershey,” you think of chocolate. Hershey, PA, is all about chocolate – chocolate tours, candy bars, spa treatments, and so much more. This city truly is “The Sweetest Place on Earth”. We loved visiting Hershey so much that we have taken the kids back several times. The Lodge has a warm “homey” feeling with an indoor waterpark that the kids enjoy. We have plans to revisit Hershey soon!

11. Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone was America’s first National Park and is a bucket list family vacation. Yellowstone is a huge national park, and it takes planning and strategies to see all of it. If you are interested in staying in a hotel in the park, you need to plan to make your reservations a year in advance of your trip. And trust me, it’s well worth it!
