But today, we want to show you how to make a fun craft project—a Christmas Grinch jar or Coffee mug. We used two yogurt jars with the labels removed, but you can use any type of mug/cup you have available. You can also try this as a funny T-shirt design, a pillowcase, acrylic ornaments, or party decorations. These will be a great handmade product that you can give as a gift this season.

Free Grinch SVG/PNG Download
Supplies needed to make Grinch Christmas Jars:
- Oui yogurt jars
- White chalk matte paint
- Paintbrush
- Plastic Drop cloth
- 2×12 black vinyl sticker sheet (Oracal 651)
- 2×12 green vinyl sticker sheet (Oracal 651)
- Weeding tool
- Scraper tool
- 12×12 sheet transfer tape
- Grinched font (https://www.dafont.com/grinched-2-0.font)
- Grinch SVG or PNG file (Download Below)
- Potting soil or rocks
- Pinecones
- Cricut Mat

Step-By-Step Tutorial on How to Make a Grinch SVG Jar:
Download the Grinch file design and upload image to your computer. The images are on a transparent background.

Lay out plastic cloth for painting. Place the jars on the plastic and paint with white paint. Two coats are best. Let dry. Or, if you prefer, use a jar or mug that is already white.
Place black vinyl on the blue cutting mat.
Import the SVG or Grinch PNG file of the resting Grinch face to the Cricut design space.

Make the image less than two inches in height.
Place the Cricut on vinyl on the dial and then tell the machine to cut. Once cut, weed design.
In the design space, go to the text tool. Select the grinched or grinched 2.0 font. Type out any Grinch quote or saying that you’d like to use. Resize to be no taller than 2 inches in height.
Place green vinyl on a blue Cricut mat.
Place the Cricut on vinyl on the dial and then tell the electronic cutting machine (laser cutting) to cut.
Once you have cut the weed design, use transfer tape to remove it from the backing and place it on the jar.
Transfer tape removes the design from the backing and places it on the jar. Using the scraper tool, scrape well and pull slowly back the transfer tape, making sure the design sticks to the jar.
Fill jars with potting soil or rocks and place pinecones on top. This amazing project will be a great giveaway to the family.

- 1 plastic drop cloth
- 12×12 black vinyl sticker sheet (Oracal 651)
- 12×12 green vinyl sticker sheet (Oracal 651)
- blue Cricut mat

- Cricut or Silhouette Cutting Machine
Instructions
Lay down a plastic cloth for painting. Set the jars on the plastic and apply two coats of white paint for the best coverage, then let them dry. Alternatively, you can use a jar or mug that is already white. Next, place black vinyl on the blue cutting mat and import the resting Grinch face SVG or PNG file into Cricut Design Space. Resize the image to less than two inches in height. Set the Cricut dial to vinyl and cut the design. Once cut, weed the design.
In Cricut Design Space, use the text tool to select the "Grinched" or "Grinched 2.0" font. Type out your desired Grinch quote or saying and resize it to no taller than two inches in height. Place green vinyl on the blue Cricut mat, set the dial to vinyl, and cut the design. After cutting, weed the design, and use transfer tape to lift the design from the backing and apply it to the jar.
With the scraper tool, press firmly on the transfer tape to ensure the design adheres to the jar. Slowly peel back the transfer tape, making sure the design sticks securely to the surface.
