Next, you will need a piece of paper. Again, you can use any type of paper that you like, but we recommend using cardstock or construction paper for the best results. Finally, you will need to download this free printable with the USA-themed drawings to create the hand print art.

Patriotic HandPrint Art for Kids

A fun and easy Independence Day craft is this patriotic handprint flag. For this Happy Independence Day USA printable, you will need red, white, and blue paint, as well as this free printable. Print this free PDF download on thick paper such as card stock or construction paper.

Now that you have all of your supplies, it’s time to get started on your project. We’ll start with a simple hand flag on the free printable. Start by putting some blue paint on the palm of your child’s hand.

Next, put red paint on their fingers. Then, have your child place their hand on the paper and press down firmly. After the paint has dried, it would be fun to add details such as the white stars on the painted picture.
