Ingredients Needed to Make A Summer Charcuterie Board:
Rye Bread
Maazdam cheese, cut into thin slices
Blue corn chips
Different Colored Candy
Prosciutto or similar meat
Nuts – Cashews work great
Cucumber
Mini mozzarella
Cocktail tomatoes
Large Marshmallows
Oranges
Strawberries
Spinach, parsley, fennel, chard and olive blossoms

We suggest you choose rye flour bread with seeds and nuts for the base. The dark bread will be the ground in our summer meadow. For the blue sky, Garden of Eatin’ Corn Tortilla Chips, Blue Chips would be perfect.
We made mushrooms out of cocktail tomatoes and mini mozzarella and arranged them on a herb of edible greens. To flavor the board, use cheese, prosciutto, or other delicacies of your choice.
Add berries, fruits, vegetables, nuts and candy. The more flavors, textures, and colors on your board, the better. Improvise, come up with your variations, or use our idea.
How to Make a Summer Charcuterie Board:
1. You won’t need culinary experience to make cute mushrooms. Cut the cocktail tomato in half and remove one part of the pulp with seeds.

It is convenient to do this with a small spoon. Place the mini mozzarella inside the tomato half. It’s a mushroom. You can trim the stem of the mushroom a little with a knife. Put dots of mayonnaise on the cap to make a fly mushroom. Form the rest of the mushrooms in the same way.
2 Cut the petals out of the marshmallow with scissors, not all the way through. Press the slightly moistened edges together to form summer butterflies.

3. Using the cookie cutters, cut out the flowers from the cheese slices. Cut some of the cheese flowers in half to make clouds.

4. Start assembling the board. Place the bread slices cut in half at the bottom and the blue chips at the top.

5. Slice the cucumber into strips and place it near the bread. Fill in the spaces between the cucumber sticks with the greens. Place the prepared mushrooms on top of the greens. Arrange cheese clouds on the sky chips.

6. Make two flowers from the oranges and strawberries. Arrange prosciutto and cheese flowers around the edges.

7. Fill the empty space with nuts and small candies. Add the finishing touches—leaves and fragrant olive tree flowers—and serve the treat to the table.

A brightly colored, non-banal board can become a table centerpiece. You can package it with food wrap and treat it to your neighbors.
How to Change up this Summer Charcuterie Board:
1. Lovers of spicy flavors can complete the board with hot sauce or a bowl of cowboy candy.
2. Use coconut cheese and vegan “meat” deli meats for a vegan version.
What is a Charcuterie Board?
A charcuterie board is a fancy meat and cheese platter elevated to an art form. The term ‘charcuterie’ originally referred to where cured and cooked meats were sold in France. Still, now it encompasses a variety of cured meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, and spreads beautifully arranged on a wooden board or platter. Cured meats have been a staple in many cultures for centuries to preserve food by removing moisture and stunting bacteria growth.

In the 15th century, the French took curing and preserving meats to a new level with different methods and creations like jambon, saucisson, boudin, and patê. In modern times, charcuterie boards have become popular for social gatherings and parties as they provide an elegant yet effortless way to serve guests.
Creating the perfect summer charcuterie board involves combining various flavors and textures to create a visually stunning and delicious spread. When assembling your charcuterie board, arrange everything aesthetically pleasing, inviting guests to dig in.
With just a little effort, you can create a beautiful and delicious summer charcuterie board that will impress your guests and elevate any outdoor gathering into a memorable occasion.

Choosing the right base for a Charcuterie Board
Choosing the right base for your summer charcuterie board is essential to creating a visually appealing and functional spread. A large wooden cutting board or platter is an excellent choice as it provides a sturdy and rustic backdrop for arranging your meats, cheeses, and accompaniments. Ensure the base is clean and dry before assembling your charcuterie board.
Consider the size of your base with the amount of food you plan to include on your board. You want to ensure enough space to display all the ingredients without feeling overcrowded. Additionally, consider using boards or platters of different shapes and sizes to create visual interest and variety in your presentation.
Creating a summer charcuterie board is a fun and creative way to showcase a variety of flavors and textures that are perfect for warm weather entertaining. By carefully selecting cheeses, incorporating fresh fruits, vegetables, and nuts, adding spreads and condiments, and using herbs for added flavor, you can create a beautiful and delicious spread that will impress your guests.
