Read the instructions on the sheet carefully. Each planet will have a number assigned to it, and you will need to color it according to the key provided.

Mercury: The smallest planet in the solar system and the closest to the Sun. It has a rocky, cratered surface and no atmosphere. Its temperatures can range from hot during the day to cold at night.
Venus is the second planet from the Sun and the hottest planet in the solar system. Its thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid clouds traps heat, causing temperatures to reach over 450°C (800°F). Venus’s surface is rocky and mountainous.
Saturn: The sixth planet from the Sun and another gas giant. It is known for its stunning rings, crafted from ice and rock particles. It has the second-largest moon in the solar system, Titan, with a thick atmosphere and lakes of methane and ethane.
Uranus: The seventh planet from the Sun and the first ice giant. It has a tilted axis, causing it to experience extreme seasons, with each lasting over 20 years. It has a system of rings and many moons.
Neptune: The farthest planet from the Sun and the second ice giant. It has a blueish color due to the presence of methane in its atmosphere. It has the strongest winds in the solar system and many moons, including Triton, the coldest known object in the solar system.
Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only known planet supporting life. It is a rocky planet with a diverse surface, including oceans, mountains, deserts, and forests. Its moderate climate and atmosphere are essential for sustaining life.
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun, commonly referred to as the Red Planet due to its distinctive reddish hue. It has a thin atmosphere and a cold, desert-like surface. It has the largest volcano and canyon in the solar system.
Jupiter: The largest planet in the solar system and fifth from the Sun. It is a gas giant with a thick atmosphere and many moons. It has a distinctive red spot caused by a massive storm that has raged for over 350 years.
Tips:
- Make sure you have good lighting and a flat surface to work on, as this will help you color accurately.
