How to Make Lego Cupcakes
Bake your cupcakes according to the recipe and let them cool completely. Then, gather the piping bags, icing, M&Ms, and cupcakes. The decorative icing Legos will serve as the cupcake toppers.
Mix the basic buttercream icing in five separate bowls, using five different frosting colors, and put each color into a piping bag. Put the gray frosting into two piping bags: one with a large cut tip and the second with a small cut tip. Put the blue, red, orange, and green frosting in piping bags with small cut tips. You can make a dozen cupcakes from here.

With the large cut-tip bag, pipe gray frosting in a smooth swirl on top.

Use any color of icing to outline a rectangle shape in the center using all four primary icing colors.

Next, fill in the outlined rectangular shapes with a generous amount of frosting.

Place eight of the same-colored mini M&M candies for cupcakes in two rows on the rectangle, as shown.

Repeat this process with each color frosting.

Use the gray piping bag with a small cut tip to create the Lego board pegs in line with the M&Ms. This will make the Legos appear as if they are lying on a Lego board.
