How to Use Bath Bombs

After you’ve made these super fun bath bombs, you may be wondering how to use them. Of course, you want to be careful so you don’t mess them up.

You will want to run warm water in the bathtub. After you have the desired amount of water in the tub, you can add in the Mermaid bath bomb. Open the bath bomb with care, so that it doesn’t get ruined before it is added to the tub of water.

Keep in mind that if a bath bomb gets wet before it is put in the bathtub, it will start dissolving. Just remember this as you prepare your bath with these fun bath bombs. Without a doubt, these are the best bath bombs out there.

How to Store Bath Bombs

Are you looking for ways in which you can store these fun bath bombs? The best way to store a bath bomb is to keep it in a very dry place. Don’t forget that when they react with water early, they can fizzle up and disappear. You want to save these awesome Mermaid Bath Bombs for a real bath time experience.

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Epsom salts
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp essential oil blend desired or coconut flavoring oil since that’s what I wanted.
  • 2 tsp rubbing alcohol
  • 1 tsp Okinawa blue mica powder
  • 1 tsp gold nugget mica powder
  • 2-4 tablespoons mermaid sprinkles blend

Tools

  • Mermaid Tail Bath Bomb Molds
  • Paintbrush

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch and Epsom salts.
In a second bowl, combine the melted coconut oil, essential oil blend, and alcohol together, mixing well.
Add liquid ingredients 1 tsp at a time to the dry ingredients, mixing it together slowly so as not to start the fizzy reaction.
To the bath bomb mixture, add in the blue mica powder and mix well. If you want more color, add some additional mica powder in 1 tsp increments.
Dust the bottom of the bath bomb molds with the gold mica powder.
Immediately pack the bath bomb mold overly full of the blue mixture. Then pack it down tightly and remove excess from the back.
Press about 1 tsp of sprinkle mixture into the back of each bath bomb.
Allow the bath bombs to rest in the mold for up to 24 hours before gently tapping the side of the mold to release the bombs.
Use your bath bombs immediately or store them in an airtight container until you’re ready to use them.
When you want to do a fun activity with the kids, put these Mermaid Bath Bombs together. You will love how they feel and smell. They make the perfect bath time companion.
