Sometimes finding fun crafts for a teenager can be challenging, so I decided to make something I knew my teens would love! These Orange Creamsicle Bath Bombs are the perfect bath bombs for teens (and kids) to make. Using just the right ingredients such as essential oils, you can create the perfect essential oil bath bomb! 

There is just something about making homemade bath bombs. I have also found that it’s not only more fun to make them yourself, but it’s cheaper too. Plus, you can use any ingredients that you choose and you can know if there are toxins and chemicals in the bath bombs.

How to Use Bath Bombs

How to Make Orange Creamsicle Bath Bombs

Ingredients to Make Orange Creamsicle Bath Bombs

whisk together cornstarch, baking soda and mica powder

In a large bowl, whisk together cornstarch, citric acid, salt, baking soda, mica powder, and dried orange peel.

In a small measuring cup, whisk together essential oil, coconut oil, and water.

Very slowly (to avoid as much fizzing as possible) add the water solution to the dry ingredients. Stir and mash together until it resembles sand.

Make Vanilla Body Scrub

Immediately transfer the bath bomb mixture into bath bomb molds, pressing the mixture tightly into each side and adding a little to overflow each side of the mold. Press the mold together and twist until closed. Allow bath bombs to rest (and dry) for at least 24 hours.

To remove the bath bombs from the molds, tap the outside of the mold gently. Then, twist each side of the mold and pull to remove the bath bomb.

Note: To give as a gift, wrap tightly in plastic wrap or place in an airtight jar.

  • 5 drops orange essential oil
  • 5 drops vanilla essential oil
  • 2 ½ tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tablespoon water
