DIY Easter Bunny Paper Bags Craft
This adorable bunny paper bag craft is a simple, creative activity kids will love making for spring or Easter. Using a basic brown lunch bag and a few simple supplies, children can transform the bag into a cute bunny with floppy ears and a fluffy pom-pom tail. It’s perfect for classroom projects, holiday parties, or afternoon crafting at home, and it also doubles as a fun treat bag for small surprises or goodies. Along the way, kids practice cutting, assembling, and decorating while letting their creativity shine.
Materials
- Brown paper lunch bags
- White pom poms (for the bunny tail)
- Ribbon (about 12 inches per bag; trim as needed)
- Scissors
- Glue or craft adhesive
- Paper shred or crinkle paper (for filling)
- Pencil
Instructions
- Draw the bunny ears.
Lay the brown paper lunch bag flat on a table. Using a pencil, lightly sketch a pair of tall bunny ears on the top portion of the bag. Use a reference photo if needed to guide the shape and size. - Cut out the ear shape.
Carefully cut along the pencil lines to create the ears. Remove and discard the center portion between the ears so the two ear shapes remain attached to the bag. - Fill the bag.
Open the paper bag and gently place paper shred or crinkled paper inside. Add enough to give the bag a soft, rounded shape, but don’t overfill. - Shape and tie the ears.
Gather the top of the bag where the ears are and bring them together. Wrap a piece of ribbon around the base of the ears and tie it securely into a knot or bow to hold everything in place. - Add the bunny tail.
Glue a white pom pom onto the lower front of the bag to create the bunny’s tail. Press gently and allow the glue to dry completely before handling.
Once dry, your bunny treat bag is ready to display, gift, or fill with small treats for Easter or spring celebrations.
