How to Make a Turkey using a Turkey printable and a Raisin Box

To get started, you must download the free Turkey Feather Template at the bottom of this page. You will also need the following craft supplies:
Printer (I use this one)
Scissors
Cardstock or other heavyweight/Thicker Paper
You can also use brown construction paper or colored construction paper
Crayons or Markers if printing the black and white version of this template, or feathers of different colors if printing the colored printable version
Tape or glue sticks
Cut the tail feathers out and tape or glue them to the back of the box (cut and glue with parental supervision).

We used a raisin box, but other ideas you could use include cracker packs, small child-size yogurt containers, individual fruit cups, or different types of candy boxes.
Next, attach the face of the turkey, the turkey feathers or wings, and the feet to the front of the box.
I have provided several pictures to give you inspiration for this easy project. The raisin box will be the turkey’s body. If your child is a visual learner, these pictures will help them understand.
After attaching the bottom of the body, the circle eyes, Turkey’s head, and feathers, set it aside, and let it dry. This will be a very colorful turkey with adorable, large feathers!!

- Grab those colorful feathers. With parental supervision, use tape or glue to attach the feathers to the back of a box. We opted for a raisin box, but don't hesitate to get creative!
- Using the raisin box as the turkey's body, let's attach the face, feathers or wings, and feet to the front of the box. Start by positioning the turkey's face on the front of the box, followed by attaching the feathers or wings and the feet. You can use glue or tape to secure them in place, ensuring they're firmly attached.
- With the bottom of the body, the circle eyes, and feathers securely attached, our adorable turkey friend is starting to take shape! Now, it's time to let our creation set aside and dry. This will give the glue or tape time to adhere and ensure our colorful turkeys fully stay together.
