How to make Fluffy Unicorn Slime

Fluffy unicorn slime will be a hit with the bright, cheerful colors and this fluffy slime is fun to make.. You can shape the slime into a unicorn head as pictured or get creative with other unicorn shaped ideas. Make sure to use Elmer's glue as other brands don't hold up as well. It is also important to note that the contact lens solution needs to contain boric acid and sodium borate in the ingredient list. These ingredients will interact with the glue to form the slime. The brand that I used was Equate contact lens solution.

This slime is appropriate for ages 4 and up with adult supervision.

Materials

  • 1 cup clear Elmer's Glue
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Food coloring
  • 3 cups shaving cream (like Barbasol)
  • 11⁄2 tablespoon contact lens solution (containing boric acid)
  • Jumbo wiggly eyes

Tools

  • Bowl
  • Jiggly Eyes

Instructions

1. Empty the glue into a large bowl.
2. Whisk in the shaving cream.
3. Add the baking soda to the glue mixture and stir to mix thoroughly.
4. If you are adding coloring, stir these ingredients into the glue mixture.
5. Fold in the shaving cream.
6. Add contact lens solution to the mixture and stir well. (Note: regular glue will require less
contact lens solution than glitter glue. Add the contact lens solution slowly, mixing
between additions, and add only enough to bring the glue together into a soft ball.)
7. The slime will be sticky. Begin to play with the slime, kneading it as you would bread
dough, to bring the slime together. The slime is ready when no longer sticky.
8. Best if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator when not in use.

Notes

Pro Tip: Wear gloves to prevent staining of skin and/or clothes.
