• Marshmallows

• Two pieces of black licorice

• One container of red, white, and blue sprinkles

• Ten paper straws, cut in half

How to Make Firecracker Marshmallow Pops:

Place one marshmallow on top of each paper straw. Use a knife to cut a small slit on the top of each marshmallow.

Melt red chocolate according to package instructions.

What is the best way to melt chocolate?

The easiest way to achieve the perfect melted chocolate is to slowly heat it over a gentle flame, such as a double boiler. You can also use the microwave if you plan to stop and stir the chocolate in increments so it doesn’t burn. Dip a marshmallow into the melted chocolate and immediately sprinkle the sprinkles along the bottom of the marshmallow.

Cut 20 small strips of black licorice to use as the firecracker fuse.

Carefully place the black licorice into the slit on top of the marshmallow.

Lastly, place the coated marshmallows on a piece of waxed paper and allow them to cool completely before serving.
