How to Make a Snowman Charcuterie Board:
1. Prepare the Mozzarella:
Chill the mozzarella in the refrigerator for about an hour before slicing to ensure it holds its shape.
Slice the cheese into thick pieces and cut out stars with a star-shaped cookie cutter. Save the leftover mozzarella for pizzas, sandwiches, or dips.
2. Arrange the Cheese on the Larger Board:
Use a large, round board with a section cut off for the snowman’s body. If unavailable, a large round plate works well, too.
Arrange the mozzarella stars on the board in an overlapping pattern, ensuring the surface is entirely covered without gaps.
3. Create the Snowman Scarf and Arms:
Roll the salami slices in half and position them as a scarf for the snowman.
Add the cracker halves as the snowman’s arms.
4. Assemble the Hat on the Smaller Board:
Use a smaller round board or plate for the snowman’s head.
Arrange slices of pepperoni in a circular pattern to create the hat. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella underneath the pepperoni to mimic a snowy effect.
5. Finish the Snowman Face:
Arrange mozzarella stars on the smaller board as before.
Use a slice of carrot for the nose, olives for the eyes, and additional small mozzarella pieces or olives for the mouth.
6. Present Your Snowman:
Position the two boards (or plates) together to form the snowman’s body and head.
Fun Additions to Customize Your Board

Snowman Charcuterie Board
Introducing the snowman-shaped charcuterie board. This charcuterie board is perfect for a family dinner or Christmas party during the winter holidays. It will pique the interest of children and adults alike. A simple set of ingredients and ease of assembly allow you to create it even at the last minute, and the result always looks spectacular.
In addition, such a board gives you room for creativity: you can adapt it to your tastes and change the decorations. The base of the board is mozzarella cheese. We chose block cheese to form snow stars. We think this makes the board look more festive. You can use regular mozzarella in the shape of balls and cut it into circles or half circles. Mini mozzarella would also look good. To make our snowman come to life, we cut out a nose - carrots- and made eyes and mouths from olives. You can also use blackberries. A beautiful hat and a warm scarf can be made from pepperoni and salami. Instead of hands, we have stick crackers of impressive size. You can improvise with the toppings. And remember, there are no rigid rules in this dish - each snowman is unique, just like each of your holidays. The main thing is to create an atmosphere of joy and warmth, bringing everyone together at the same table and enjoying the holiday flavors together.
Ingredients
- 11/2 pounds of mozzarella cheese in bars
- 1 thick stick of cracker, broken in half.
- 1-ounce salami
- 1-ounce pepperoni
- 4-5 olives
- carrot slice
Instructions
- Chill the mozzarella in the refrigerator for an hour before slicing. Slice the cheese with a sharp knife. Cut out the stars with a cookie cutter. Use leftover mozzarella for pizzas, sandwiches, and dips.
- We used two round boards of different sizes with the sector cut-off to serve the snowman. Place cheese stars on the larger board overlapping. Try to fill the board with no gaps.
- Roll the salami in halves and lay it out as a snowman scarf. Add hands-stick crackers.
- Slice pepperoni into circles and lay it on a smaller board as a hat. Add a blanket of grated mozzarella.
- Lay out mozzarella stars on the first board. Arrange the nose, eyes, and mouth of the snowman. When serving, arrange the two boards so that you have a snowman. You can use two plates of different sizes if you don't have these boards.
