How to Make a Day 1 of Creation Craft for Kids
Step 1: Trace and Cut Your Colored Paper
Place your paper plate face down on your yellow paper and trace around it lightly with your marker. Then do the same on your black construction paper.
Cut each circle out, then cut both circles in half to get two half-circles, one yellow and one black. These pieces illustrate the separation of light and darkness during the first day of creation.
Kids who are a little older can use the scissors themselves (with supervision!), while younger preschoolers might need you to cut for them. Either way, let them be involved as much as possible, even if it’s just holding the paper steady.
