This Nothing Red Velvet Bundt Cake is also easier to decorate than a standard cake since it is baked in a bundt pan. This cake is a good cake for beginners to make since it starts from a cake mix.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 Box Red Velvet Cake Mix
  2. 3/4 Cup Sour Cream, at room temperature
  3. 1/2 Canola Oil
  4. 1/2 Cup Water
  5. 1/4 Cup Mayonaise
  6. 3 large eggs
  7. 2 Tsp pure vanilla extract
  8. 1 Cup semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray the bundt pan with pam baking spray and set aside.
  2. Using a standing mixer or hand mixer, beat together all cake ingredients except for the chocolate chips.

Fold in the chocolate chips

Pour cake batter into the bundt pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a
toothpick comes out clean

Allow to cool completely before removing from pan, and place on wire rack.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING DIRECTIONS:

  • Using a standing mixer, beat all ingredients until combined and smooth.
  • Scoop into the piping bag
  • Cut the tip off the piping bag
  • Pipe onto the frosting onto the bundt cake
  • Cut into slices and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 3/4 C sour cream, room temperature
  • 1/2 C Canola oil
  • 1/2 C water
  • 1/4 C mayo
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 disposable piping bag

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

  • 1 - 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • ¼ C unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 C powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and spray a 9 inch bundt pan with pam baking spray, set aside.
  2. Using a standing mixer or hand mixer, beat together all cake
    ingredients except for chocolate chips
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips
  4. Pour cake batter into the bundt pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a
    toothpick comes out clean

Notes

You can make the frosting up to 5 days ahead of time and store in the Refridgerator.
